Export Bit.ly Link Data as CSV

Finally, a way to download Bit.ly link data as a CSV.

Bitly Download CSV
Would you care to download a CSV of your Bit.ly links? WINNING!

Download the plugin from WordPress.org

Bit.ly is one of the most popular link shortening services, and rightly so: it is stable, easy to use, and has pretty looking statistics. One thing Bit.ly does not do is export data. There is simple no other Bit.ly exporter out there.

The Bit.ly Exporter plugin allows you to export up to three years of daily click data for your links. This allows you to analyse click data like you always wanted to! All you need is WordPress.

Bitly Exporter Admin
Great Chart View

In the backend, you get:

  • A nice graph of clicks
  • A table of click data for the requested period
  • A summary of stats for the period requested (see screenshot below)
  • Support for bit.ly, j.mp and any pro/custom links by Bit.ly

The exported CSV includes:

  • # of Clicks
  • Timestamp
  • Date (formatted)
  • Day of Week
  • Week #
  • Month #
  • Year
  • Days Since Export

does this also include the stats indicating where the clicks were done? Just like the Analyze feature in Bit.ly itself.

Thanks for the feedback – this would be a good feature, but it’s not included in the plugin right now. It was planned for future versions, but the plugin hasn’t received many downloads, so it’s not too high on my list right now. If there are others who want this feature, let me know!

Clarification: This plugin does not gather your bit.ly usage across all sites, but only from the wordpress site it is installed on, and only from time of installation?

With Twitter’s Backtype acquisition resulting in shut down of their API, independent developers & end users are subject to an alarming reduction in ability to easily measure clicks from tweets.

Your application is exactly what I’m needing, with only a trivial modification.

Realy a nice Bit.ly WordPress Plugin just a litle glitch get following error returnd
“CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when safe_mode is enabled or an open_basedir is set”
Safe mode if OFF
open_basedir would be a high risk for the server
Some solution would be nice . Thank you for the Dev work will give it a push as soon i got it working

A great extension!  One feature request I would recommend is the ability to Save Links with a title and description to continuously monitor a set of links without having to type it in over and over each time.

Is this extension still working? Whenever I try to access the plugin through Tools, I get a “Server Error” page. Thanks. -Isaac

This plugin is no longer compatible with Bitly and will not work.

Bitly no longer support API access via the method used in this plugin. Until the developer updates the plugin to use the new Bitly authentication mechanism it will never work again.
